Candy!

You might be wondering where I got all this candy from. You will never guess… I got it from Mrs. Krummel. So remember, when you receive emails for help, always answer yes! That is, unless the email is from a stranger that lives halfway across the world. So, I helped at the student orientation which was actually quite fun. I might Duncan from last year’s class… he is quite smart. He had this riddle and frankly, it was hard. Sam was there with his awesome name tag that he made himself… basically it was a piece of paper that had stars drawn on them. Ah me, what a night! ;) And I would like to point out that Xiaolu and I are still the only ones who made posts for last week and the fact that I am making my second post before you all’s is disappointing (except for Xiaolu … lol)

So, there is not much for me to say about what we learned because well I said that in the last post and we have not had class since then. However, I have completed the majority of all the homework assigned. My textbook homework I realize that I still have one problem left, but I finished my Chapter 7 test! Yay! But I still have two problems left in my final exam review and my algebra ii review packet. Do not even get me started on my Pizza Hut problems. I think I will save them for later… I have only done three so far.

In addition, have any of you people been keeping track of the triple crown races this year? Perhaps not.. I will inform you that it is a possibility that we will have a triple crown winner this year. However, there is a one in three chance that a horse will win the first two, Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, but lose Belmont, at least based off of my calculations but they might be wrong. The point is that many horses, somewhat it is relative, win the first two races but lose at Belmont. The reason is that belmont is 1 1/2 miles which really tests a horse’s stamina. So who thinks I’ll Have Another will win the triple crown. By the way, I’ll Have Another is the horses name. I thought when I saw that name on the Kentucky Derby website that the website was acting like a person and going oh “I’ll Have Another!” like it was going to force a horse to win this year. An interesting fact is that I’ll Have Another was the only horse so far to win the Derby from gate 19. Belmont is going to be interesting this year! Yes, I am only talking about horses because I researched them for a social studies project. Another cool fact is that so far I’ll Have Another is winning each of the races so far by the same margin as the last triple crown winner, Affirmed (1978). That was a long time ago, hopefully there will be a triple crown winner this year!

I have also started to read Death Comes to Pemberly. I have a feeling that could be deduced since the book showed up in my picture above^^. It is a good book I swear, but I keep falling asleep after reading for 15 minutes. But surprisingly, I have actually read the majority of the book in a day or two. Usually I would read faster but I am really busy :P . What irks me is that I could not figure out who killed the character that was killed (I won’t say who). My researching skills have failed me. This might seem strange but I actually like spoilers. This way I will not become to attached to a evil character and then when they are convicted of a heinous crime I would not be like “Oh no! My favorite character!” But, sometimes I still like the evil character. Lol. Anyway Death Comes to Pemberly is just a continuation of Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, which is a really good book.

So adios people and see you on Thursday where we will take our final exam. *shivers* I just realized that this could be our last blog post of the year. I am too lazy to check schoology and confirm this, but I think it might be. It is either this week or next week. It might be next week, but I do not know what I would talk about.. answers to the final? So, I am making this my true last post even if I have to do one next week. *Tear, tear :’( I will miss you all!

P.S.

Xiaolu my post is exactly 917 words long. Although my word counter on my computer says that this is 923 words. That number includes all the words up to the word “done” at the end. Beat that! :) Of course my only blog post that is extremely long is the one I call my last. So remember people, ““It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end.” — Ursula K Le Guin. I believe in that quote although it might not apply to my blog post writing since I think this long post is a lot better than the journey of writing my blogs… But I did like reading everyone else’s so I guess that is what tips the scale for me liking the journey better. Now I am done.
